Goodbye So Cal!
So its official. We said goodbye yesterday to So Cal. We left at about 6pm and drove until we couldn't see anymore. So half way there we saw a Motel 6, I figured why not. I remember why you don't stay at Motel 6. It was very interesting to say the least. We finally made it north to stay w/ family for a bit. I will keep you posted on our adventures to the far east!

Saying Goodbye...
I had to say goodbye to a friend this weekend. I had only known her a few short years but she was a huge part of my life. She was the blood cousin of my husband. Her name is Kelsey and she was just a child when she died. She was 14....I am still having a hard time with this, why do children have to die. She basically just went to sleep. She was having surgery for something else, which was successful, she said she couldn't breathe and than just went to sleep. No pain no nothing, just went to sleep.
At the memorial service so many of her friends and family were there. This girl touched the lives of so many people. Over 700 were in attendance. I am sure there were more that just couldn't be there. In the fourteen short years that she lived she truly lived. I was amazed and utter awe at what this girl accomplished. She is truly an inspiration.
I will miss my texting buddy and my silly cousin. Oh she was fun. We had some great times hanging out together. Being still human I am selfish and would like her back. But I know she is in Heaven having a grand adventure. I also know I will see her again, but that doesn't make it any easier here on earth...
Until next time Kelsey....xoxoxo

Mister Handy Man
HA! Who said I didn't marry a handy husband. The vaccum broke today when I was trying to clean up our room. I get a ya ya I will look at it in a minute. Two hours later he decides to look at it...see pics now.

But he did end up "fixing" it, it did turn on in when it was in pieces. lets see if he can get it back together again. So far I am not so certain. Plus all the nasty stuff that he was taking out of places. Man our carpets are gross. I wonder if everyone's carpets are like that. It was fun listening to him try an "fix" it.
I so love that man!

Weekend Getaway
OMG! This past weekend was amazing! We went to Blizzcon 2009!!! We stayed in Anaheim so that was nice. I am all for someone else making me food and making my bed. The event was spectacular!!!! We also saw Ozzy Osbourne in concert. That was amazing. I am 30 years old and I have never seen a concert. So this was fun. Even if his music was lousy. I enjoyed the music but the lyrics were something to be desired...
I also got to try the new expansion for WOW...CATACLYSM!! OMG! I love the two new races. The costumes were fantastic. The people were great. There were only a couple of things i would change, but all and all it was great!!!
I can't wait to go again soon...Keep up the great gaming Blizzard!!!

Dave and Busters or Bust!!!
Chris's Aunt and Uncle were out with the kids this past week. We had so much fun. The came over one night just to have pizza and play rock band. Which by the way was great. But Olive pizza is crap. Don't get it. I was eating the left overs. I so don't understand how that is good. But than the next day Chris got off early from work so we all met up again and took on the Irvine Spectrum. We walked around the mall for a bit than went to D&B for dinner and frivolity. It was great! I had some tickets saved up. Chris was great at winning the bonus rounds though. He must have one over 1k tickets just from bonus rounds. See th bling? We ended up spending all I had and bought a new game for the XBox and some cool mood lamp thing. They no longer carried the juke box I wanted. So we spent them all. What are we going to to w/ tickets from D&B from Japan I have no idea. So we shopped and shopped! We didn't get home till well after midnight. I was told I fell asleep in the car and was snoring up a storm. I so am pleading the fifth. I can neither deny or acknowledge such acquisitions. :)
Here are some pics of that crazy night!!!
Hanging Out...
So I had this brilliant idea last week. I just wanted to hang out at my parents house. Nothing planned. Just hang out. Which I might add turned into a fabulously brilliant idea! I called my mom up and she was so in favor of a flop day at her house. I planned to stop at a burger joint along the way and have my parents meet us. We had a laptops in tow, books, bathing suits and nothing else. The day was marvelous. We picked tomatoes from the garden, floated in the pool soaking up as much vitamin D as we could, ate, watched a movie. Did a whole lot of nothing!!! It was also the start of Chris's Birthday week. I am glad we drove out to my parents. It was worth the trip. Plus soon it won't be an easy hour and a half drive. It will be 17 hours away..
That was some of my weekend. This week starts Chris's Birthday week. I have some things planned. And some things are just going to be on the fly. I can't way.
More adventures are awaiting me gotta go!!!

Happy Monday!
Happy Monday everyone. I just was in a random happy mood this fine Monday morning and I thought I would share the wealth. Life is good. We are getting ready to move. Which is a pain in the butt, but it is a necessary thing with Chris's job. I am excited on where we are going. But the mental checklist of getting stuff ready is exhausting. We haven't even started packing boxes yet!!! It was a pretty good weekend. We had some friends over. Actually we had a great weekend. We played Cosmic Encounters, ate, played some more. Just basically hung out. You remember those days yes?
Hugs and all...I have got to go and check on my farm. I have raspberries growing.
chow!

so there is this class.
So about a week or two ago Chris tells me about this class/workshop we are going to go to today. Which is no biggy right. I say fine add it to the calendar and think nothing of it. I kind of ask him why and he says, honestly, I want an easy day at work and I get a free day of leave. I say sure...So the days go by and I do my thing. As we get closer to the class date I ask him what is this class about anyway.
He says it is a marriage workshop! A marriage workshop. It took me by surprise. Not because we are having issues or anything, but that he was actually interested in going. Well besides the added perks for him. He was engaged and wanted to see what there was to see. We go and have a good time and realize a few things. We are not the only crazy couple out there with the occasional communication issue, tripping over the boots issue or my favorite I am not one of your marines issue. We are actually fairly normal in our young marriage. Weird I know, us normal!!!
All and all the day was good. With the bonuse of he get a free day of leave that we are taking in August to go to Blizzcon!!! Yippee!!!
I am glad we went. We learned some valuable things about one another and about marriages in general. Did you know that couples who do no attend marriages seminars, retreats etc have a 20% chance higher than couples who do of ending in divorce? I didn't.
hugs! Until next time...

Some things are better left untried!
So about this stomach of a 16 year old....I am sad to say it is gone. Chris got some tickets to the county fair where we live. I was super excited all week. Lets face it you go to the fair to eat and shop. So I ate and shopped. I had some wonderful fair delicacies. However next time I think I am going to shop more and bring my own veggies! Holy cow! Everything is fried. My parents went with us, it was her bright idea to try a fried twinkie. Which by the way is a bad idea! Somethings are just better left uneaten. What is the saying I can't unsee what I have seen! The same goes for food. Yuck! After some of the fine fried foods of the fair my stomach and I decided it was best to go home and sleep it off. Here is to a great day at the fair! ZZzzZZzzzZZZZzzZZzzz...Good night!
Transformers:Rise of the Funny!
We went to the movies last night with some new friends. More about that later. I was so expecting this action drama movie right?!!! OMG! I haven't laughed so hard in my life. It was a great movie. I can not wait for it to come out on DVD. I also like Josh Duhamel so I am sure that helped. Chris likes Megan Fox so I think he got more out of the movie than I did. LOL. Back to the new friends. Chris invited a co-worker and his wife over for dinner and a movie. They are a hoot. I hope we hang out more. We kind of had an early dinner. Which consisted of homemade Foccacia bread, Sausage Arugula Penne Pasta w/ freash parmessan cheese sprinkled on top and freash steamed green beans from my mothers garden. It was magnifet! The night was great. Here is too new friends!

We are so moving to Japan for three years. I am super excited. We will be living on the lovely isle of Okinawa. I have books ordered, go Fodors and DK. Hoorah! Now hurry up and wait...
That should be the USMC anthem... After many many many months of hurry up and wait, it is official. We do not have recruiting duty!!! Yippee!!! Chris turned in his paperwork on Friday and Monday they said not so much. Chris than turned around and called the people in charge of moving the marines around to different bases yesterday. No word yet. I think I am ready for a change of venue. I know he is. Maybe we could go some place tropical? Maybe someplace with actual seasons? Another country? Maybe back to Florida so we can go back to Epcot! Man that was fun....hmmm so many places so little time...
