Dave and Busters or Bust!!!

Chris's Aunt and Uncle were out with the kids this past week. We had so much fun. The came over one night just to have pizza and play rock band. Which by the way was great. But Olive pizza is crap. Don't get it. I was eating the left overs. I so don't understand how that is good. But than the next day Chris got off early from work so we all met up again and took on the Irvine Spectrum. We walked around the mall for a bit than went to D&B for dinner and frivolity. It was great! I had some tickets saved up. Chris was great at winning the bonus rounds though. He must have one over 1k tickets just from bonus rounds. See th bling? We ended up spending all I had and bought a new game for the XBox and some cool mood lamp thing. They no longer carried the juke box I wanted. So we spent them all. What are we going to to w/ tickets from D&B from Japan I have no idea. So we shopped and shopped! We didn't get home till well after midnight. I was told I fell asleep in the car and was snoring up a storm. I so am pleading the fifth. I can neither deny or acknowledge such acquisitions. :)

Here are some pics of that crazy night!!!

Hanging Out...

So I had this brilliant idea last week. I just wanted to hang out at my parents house. Nothing planned. Just hang out. Which I might add turned into a fabulously brilliant idea! I called my mom up and she was so in favor of a flop day at her house. I planned to stop at a burger joint along the way and have my parents meet us. We had a laptops in tow, books, bathing suits and nothing else. The day was marvelous. We picked tomatoes from the garden, floated in the pool soaking up as much vitamin D as we could, ate, watched a movie. Did a whole lot of nothing!!! It was also the start of Chris's Birthday week. I am glad we drove out to my parents. It was worth the trip. Plus soon it won't be an easy hour and a half drive. It will be 17 hours away..

That was some of my weekend. This week starts Chris's Birthday week. I have some things planned. And some things are just going to be on the fly. I can't way.

More adventures are awaiting me gotta go!!!

Happy Monday!

Happy Monday everyone. I just was in a random happy mood this fine Monday morning and I thought I would share the wealth. Life is good. We are getting ready to move. Which is a pain in the butt, but it is a necessary thing with Chris's job. I am excited on where we are going. But the mental checklist of getting stuff ready is exhausting. We haven't even started packing boxes yet!!! It was a pretty good weekend. We had some friends over. Actually we had a great weekend. We played Cosmic Encounters, ate, played some more. Just basically hung out. You remember those days yes?

Hugs and all...I have got to go and check on my farm. I have raspberries growing.

so there is this class.

So about a week or two ago Chris tells me about this class/workshop we are going to go to today. Which is no biggy right. I say fine add it to the calendar and think nothing of it. I kind of ask him why and he says, honestly, I want an easy day at work and I get a free day of leave. I say sure...So the days go by and I do my thing. As we get closer to the class date I ask him what is this class about anyway.

He says it is a marriage workshop! A marriage workshop. It took me by surprise. Not because we are having issues or anything, but that he was actually interested in going. Well besides the added perks for him. He was engaged and wanted to see what there was to see. We go and have a good time and realize a few things. We are not the only crazy couple out there with the occasional communication issue, tripping over the boots issue or my favorite I am not one of your marines issue. We are actually fairly normal in our young marriage. Weird I know, us normal!!!

All and all the day was good. With the bonuse of he get a free day of leave that we are taking in August to go to Blizzcon!!! Yippee!!!

I am glad we went. We learned some valuable things about one another and about marriages in general. Did you know that couples who do no attend marriages seminars, retreats etc have a 20% chance higher than couples who do of ending in divorce? I didn't.

hugs! Until next time...

Happy Independence Day!!!

YAY! Another grand adventure. We went to AX and had a wonderful time. Went to a new restaurant and had fabulous food. I highly recommend The Yard House...yummy!!We also spent the holiday with new friends and their family...It was a great weekend all the way around...I must admit it was well worth the wait in getting to AX. Three years of trying to go...but wow was an adventure. We took the train there, saw some amazing costumes, shopped, ate, and shopped some more. It was great. I can't wait to go to Japan and see what they do!!!
